January Welcome and Orientation
We can’t believe we are already coming to the end of January. This has been another very busy month for the ISAS team as we welcomed around 600 students to the University with a programme of events run in collaboration with Visiting Student Offices in the Colleges of Humanities and Social Sciences and Science and Engineering, EUSA, the Induction team and the International Student Centre.
We kicked things off on Tuesday 06 January with the International Arrival Lounge in Teviot. New and returning students had a chance to mingle, play games and enjoy a coffee and a pastry. Were you at this event? If so, we’d like to hear from you – let us know what you think!
On Wednesday, Jo was at Edinburgh Airport along with an excellent team of student ambassadors greeting around 200 new international students and assisting them with their onward travel to their accommodation. In the evening, Ali and Euan were at the Welcome Dinner. Around 500 students came along to meet our staff and other students, and enjoyed traditional Scottish food.
Our team was also at the very well-attended Services Fair! Did you see the ISAS stand? Did you get a chance to to and speak to us?
