JUST GATHER FILM FESTIVAL – MONDAY 16 – SUNDAY 22 MARCH
This is a full-blown film festival, a hand-picked selection of thought-provoking films from current students, film-makers and humanitarians based all over the worl. Highlights include a screening of Mark Cousin’s The First Movie, as well as Icíar Bollaín’ s acclaimed In a Foreign Land. All films are free! TAI CHI CHAI TEA – MONDAY 16 MARCH (CONFUCIUS INSTITUTE) AND WEDNESDAY 18 MARCH (SCHOOL OF VETERINARY MEDICINE)
This unique event allows you to sample the smooth moves of Tai Chi and try out some high energy Bhangra dance. Before each short workshop you will hear about the role of Tai Chi in Chinese society and the origins and significance of Bhangra to Indian culture. After you have learned a little Tai Chi and Bhangra, enjoy warm samosas and a cup of the mighty masala chai tea, which has been drunk in India for thousands of years.
GATHER AT THE FARM -TUESDAY 17th MARCH
This is an amazing opportunity to get acquainted with one of Edinburgh’s most loved institutions! Join us on our trip to Gorgie Farm: your package will include a tour of the farm, workshops and activities for children, as well as a lunch buffet and an opportunity to make some new friends!Tickets are for sale at the International Office (33 Buccleuch Place) between 09 to 17.00. THE INTERNATIONAL RECIPE SWAP – FRIDAY 20 MARCH
A celebration of food with an international twist! Bring along your favourite recipe and some food to share. Pick up some great tips from Love Food, Hate Waste on how to prepare waste free recipes, and meet some new friends!
